- Knowledge of API required.

The Role
Overview OverviewReporting to the Director of Global Supply Chain, as Sourcing Manager, your primary responsibility (approximately 70% of your time) will be to develop and lead the global supply chain pre-sale strategy for all ClydeUnion sites across the SPX Flow enterprise. You will work closely with global supply chain leadership at SPX Flow businesses to deliver year-over-year improvements in material cost, quality, availability, inventory and successful bid strategy.
Your secondary responsibility will be local supplier development for the Burlington plant, where you will be seated and where the bulk of the ClydeUnion work is. You will look at the current supplier base, develop a growth/improvement strategy, leverage members of the global supply chain to help you with legwork, negotiate, and build the supplier base. Role Details
Upon joining us, you will learn our products and processes, travel to various ClydeUnion plants to see operations, meet key stakeholders and begin building relationships. Post-training, you will take ownership of the pre-sale work, managing quote requests, working with engineers and salespeople around the world, and ultimately delivering well researched and supported quotes/bids. Your high-reaching mission will be to help earn new business through your pre-sales strategy and sourcing work, working within the GMO supply chain. When not working on pre-sale strategy and execution, you will focus on your secondary responsibilities.
Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Pre-sale supply chain support for all ClydeUnion sites focusing on developing competitive material bids.
- Providing site support for the Burlington facility where you will focus on strategic supply chain strategy utilizing the GMO Global Supply Chain Commodity Managers to develop strategies that align with the overall GMO supply chain.
- Designing and implementing sourcing strategies to attain year-over-year material cost reduction (PPV, landed cost, and cost avoidance), material quality/delivery improvements, and working capital improvements through extending supplier payment terms and optimizing manufacturing raw material and purchased parts inventory.
- Leading multi-site (ClydeUnion) pre-sale sourcing initiatives including the following elements:
- Supplier Development: Working with site Purchasing, Engineering and Quality along with the GMO Commodity Managers to work with existing suppliers or develop new suppliers capable of meeting ClydeUnion technical specifications and quality and lead time expectations at competitive costs.
- Negotiations: Acting as the lead negotiator with suppliers in specific commodities to deliver stated objectives. Developing supplier agreements by negotiating the key terms and conditions that maximize value to SPX Flow.
- Strategic Sourcing: Leading the strategic pre-sale sourcing process including RFQ development, quotation reviews, supplier/contract negotiations and supplier development. Leading sourcing meetings with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing etc. within all ClydeUnion sites to reach consensus on sourcing strategy. In addition, working with the GMO supply chain to ensure the overall strategies for SPX Flow are aligned.
- Low-Cost Country Sourcing: Developing sourcing strategies working with the GMO supply chain for year-over-year net cost reductions.
- VA/VE: Working closely with preferred suppliers on productivity/cost down initiatives through the use of VA/VE tools.
- Supplier VMI / Kanbans: Working closely with the supplier base and the lean group to actively integrate suppliers into SPX Flow plants through the appropriate use of VMI, Kanbans, and related tools.
- Clearly communicating status and results regularly to internal stakeholders.
- Developing supply chain disruption mitigation strategies. When shortages or allocations occur, actively managing solutions to mitigate the impact.
- Owning the supplier relationship for the critical, high spend suppliers for assigned commodities.
- Measuring and managing critical suppliers to drive optimal performance.
