You will be part of the Flow Controls division in Houston, which develops solutions for applications found in general industrial, oil & gas, power generation, and pulp and paper applications. Daily, you will be responsible for inspecting welds and parts coming from our welding and machine shop, as well as incoming purchased components. Attention to detail will be critical, as will strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with team members throughout the organization. You will inspect a wide array of valve products including globe, control, gate, butterfly, ball, and surge relief valves, from respected brands including M&J Valve, DeZurik, and Copes-Vulcan.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing visual and precision instrument inspection of manufactured parts and/or specialized inspections such as surface plate work, non-destructive examination (NDE), for compliance with specified requirements. Additionally, you will inspect welds to applicable codes and standards.

In performing your work, you will interact with multiple internal departments including Manufacturing, Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Accounting, and Shipping/Receiving. You may also work with external contractors. Daily workflow is assigned by the Quality Control Supervisor and/or based on project demands and is informally reviewed through daily observation. In addition, you will have annual formal performance reviews. Specifically, you will:
